Every woman in these pictures came into my life through the market. Every time I go back to my hometown, Grottaglie, t Every time I go back to my hometown, Grottaglie, these are one of those things that just feel familiar. You find them in many local bakeries, in slightly different versions, and we call them ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ณ๐ณ๐š๐ซ๐ข (the name comes from ๐’‡๐’Š๐’„๐’‰๐’Š, ๐‘“๐‘–๐‘”๐‘ ). They donโ€™t look like much, but then you bite into one and they completely surprise you: super thin, crispy dough, barely sweet, with a rich filling of ๐Ÿ๐ข๐  ๐ฃ๐š๐ฆ, ๐๐š๐ซ๐ค ๐œ๐ก๐จ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ž, ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž and ๐œ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐š๐ฆ๐จ๐ง. Iโ€™ve tried to recreate them a few times in the past and was never quite happy with the result. This time I did more research, paid much more attention to the texture of the dough and worked on the filling until it tasted right. And finally, I got it!!! Every time I go back to my hometown, Grottaglie, t Every time I go back to my hometown, Grottaglie, these are one of those things that just feel familiar. You find them in many local bakeries, in slightly different versions, and we call them ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ณ๐ณ๐š๐ซ๐ข (the name comes from ๐’‡๐’Š๐’„๐’‰๐’Š, ๐‘“๐‘–๐‘”๐‘ ). They donโ€™t look like much, but then you bite into one and they completely surprise you: super thin, crispy dough, barely sweet, with a rich filling of ๐Ÿ๐ข๐  ๐ฃ๐š๐ฆ, ๐๐š๐ซ๐ค ๐œ๐ก๐จ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ž, ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž and ๐œ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐š๐ฆ๐จ๐ง. Iโ€™ve tried to recreate them a few times in the past and was never quite happy with the result. This time I did more research, paid much more attention to the texture of the dough and worked on the filling until it tasted right. And finally, I got it!!!
